Tea-X Change FAQ

Tea-X Change is our online platform for warehouse storage and trading of Malaysia aged Puer. This enables our customers to sell and buy teas stored in our warehouse storage.


How does Tea-X Change work?

Tea that are stored under our secured warehouse can be listed for sales on Tea X. All sales will be directly between the seller and the buyer through the agency of Tea X. If the tea is sold, Tea X will be entitled to a 15% service fee from the seller which it will retain from the price paid by the buyer, ie the seller will receive 85% of the sale price.


TEA X SELLERS FAQS


Which tea is eligible for sale on Tea-X?

Tea must meet the following criteria to be eligible for sale on Tea X:

  • Tea must be physically located in our humidity- and temperature-controlled warehouse
  • Tea must be in unsplit packaging
  • The account payee (ie the person responsible for all charges relating to the tea) and the account beneficiary (ie the tea’s owner) must be the same

Can I list single pieces from stack or box for sale on Tea X?

No, with the exception of single piece originally packaged as one unit, only unsplit unit can be listed for sale on Tea X.


Can I sell other tea or non-tea through Tea X?

No, it is not possible to sell other tea and other non-tea through Tea X.


Do I have to register to buy or sell tea on Tea X?

Yes. Registration is required as a security precaution and to establish preferred payment methods for when your tea is sold. Once you registered an account in Tea X, you can place order with Tea X or request to sell on Tea X.


How much service fee will Tea X sellers pay?

Fifteen percent (15%). When a tea is sold through Tea X, the seller will receive 85% of the selling price.


Can I set the selling price of my tea listed on Tea X?

No, tea listed on Tea X will be sell at the same pricing as the current selling price on Tea X.


Who will determine the pricing on Tea X?

All the listed items on Tea X is subject to the valuation price set by our qualified tea experts of which the determined prices shall be final and conclusive.


How do I list a tea for sale on Tea X?

Firstly, you need to be logged in to your account on Tea X. Then view your My Inventory. Tea that is stored in warehouse storage and in unsplit packaging will have a “Request to Sell” button next to them. Click on this button and Tea X will approve your request within seven (7) working days.


Can I change my mind once I have listed a tea for sale?

Yes, you can remove a tea from sale at anytime, providing an order has not been placed for your tea. To remove a tea from sale simply click “Cancel Selling” on My Selling List in My Profile.


Can Tea X withdraw a tea from Tea X and under what circumstances can this happen?

Tea X reserves the right to remove any tea from Tea X deems the following: the tea is not in a sellable condition; or the selling price is significantly outside the current market price range and thus may be detrimental to both buyers and sellers.


If another seller is listing the same tea as mine, whose tea will be sold first?

If the same tea is listed by two or more Tea X sellers then the tea that was listed for sale first will be sold first if an order is placed.


Are warehouse storage charges still payable on tea listed on Tea X?

Yes, warehouse storage fees are still payable on tea listed on Tea X. Current warehouse storage charges are 1.88% of current selling price for each tea you purchased from Tea X as determined by us from time to time. Read more about warehouse storage here.


What happens when one of my tea is ordered on Tea X?

When an order is placed for your tea and its successful, you will receive an email confirming the order and payment will made into My Wallet in your Tea X account.


Can I cancel the order if I changed my mind?

No, after an order is placed for your listed tea, you are unable to cancel the order or withdraw the tea.


How is the payment made for tea sold on Tea X?

Once you’ve sold your tea on Tea X, we will credit your Tea X account within five (5) working days after the sale has been confirmed to you by email. If your payment preference is for us to credit your bank account, you may request withdrawal in My Wallet, we will transfer the money to your nominated bank account within five (5) to seven (7) working days.

Please note, the name on your bank account has to be the same as the Tea X account holder name.


Is there a minimum amount required for withdrawal request in My Wallet?

Yes, you will be able to request a withdrawal as soon as your balance reaches the minimum required amount of MYR 200.00. There is a processing fee of MYR 10.00 if your withdrawal is less than MYR 200.00, however no fees apply if you withdraw MYR 200.00 or more.


Is there a restriction on how long the tea is on selling list if it doesn’t sell?

Yes. If your tea has not sold after 90 days we will email you to inform that your tea has now been removed from selling list. You can, however, re-list your tea on Tea X again.


TEA X BUYERS FAQS


How do I buy Tea X tea?

Tea X tea can be bought on the Tea X website, with the option of warehouse storage or delivery.


Can I buy Tea X tea offline?

No. Tea X is a web-based service, so Tea X tea can only be bought on the website.


Can I buy Tea X tea for delivery?

Yes. You can buy Tea X tea for delivery. Please note that delivery fees, duties and customs charges incurred in shipping purchases to Buyer’s desired shipping address shall be solely borne by the Buyer.


Is there a pick-up service provided by Tea X?

Yes. Tea X tea may be picked up at Lot L1-01, 1st Floor, Shaw Parade, Changkat Thambi Dollah, 55100 Kuala Lumpur upon Buyer’s request only. Contact us by call +603-2145-1200 or email to [email protected].
